WARNING!!!!!

September is almost upon us and that means greens aeration!

Yes unfortunately we must undergo every golfer's nightmare and aerate the greens again this year.

We are planning on starting and completing the aeration on September 7th.

While we are aerating we may not always be aware of you wanting to shoot to the green (as we are in a hurry to complete) so please warn us before hitting balls at us!

Earlier last week (during the wind storm) while removing a tree from #2 Fairway, our Sthil 340 chainsaw was taken. If you BORROWED it or know who did, we would really appreciate the safe return NO QUESTIONS ASKED.
Respectfully, Peter Bysouth and the Grounds Crew

Fish On
Last week the salmon run in the lake had slowed down.
The last two days have produced some nice fish.
The derby leading fish today August 15th is 27 pounder named Walter, caught by Sandra; our derby winner from last year.
Largest fish weighed in at the store so far is 28 pounds.
Check the regulations for any up coming changes.
Happy fishing. Stevie

Letter from the Airpark

Mabel Lake Airpark Residents:

We have started an airpark fire safety group with the intention of keeping everyone informed and aware of what to do in the event of a fire in the airpark.  We are not a volunteer fire department or fire brigade, simply a "best efforts" group of like minded owners.

We will have procedures listed inside the fire boxes (4 in all, one being built) along with the fire hose and connectors.  The stand pipes and fire boxes are located on Lots  3,  19,  32  &  41. (area map can be downloaded from www.mabellakeresort.com under site map - the resort & golf course site plan)
It is our intention to have a practice each year so residents can stay current in the event of a fire

We also need everyone to assist with fire prevention in that yards need to be clear of any shrubs, underbrush, deadfall, any combustibles that a fire could grow on.  For more information check www.partnersinprotection.ab.ca  or www.bcwildfire.ca

¬…        Each household should have a pipe wrench for disconnecting the stand pipe cap

¬…        Each household should have a clear display of their lot number

¬…        Each household should have an air horn in the event the fire truck siren is disabled

We are asking everyone in the airpark for $100.00 to buy fire hose, connectors, build another fire box and to have an emergency fund for any future expenditures.  Cheques are to be made payable to Airpark Fire Safety and sent to #7 - 3525 Mabel Lake Road, Enderby, BC  V0E 1V5.

We would like to restart our Airpark Directory created by Lana Staroszik, we need everyone's permission to have their information shared, lot number, name, address, email and phone number(s), please respond to Lana directly at lana.star@rogcolaw.com.
